My name is Irene, I was born in the beautiful city of Málaga?️?️. When I turned 18 I moved to Italy by myself ???for a sabbatic trip before starting my studies in Design and Creative Technologies at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, where I lived for 4 years. During this period I also traveled to England???, where I stayed for a little more of half year. I took a photography course at the UCA in Rochester??, then I moved to the center of London, where I worked as a recepcionist in a really fun hostel. I’m currently in Barcelona??, studying a master in graphic design in EINA??. I think my work answers a practical request as well as a creative way of expression. I enjoy creating a path between two completely different concepts that bring me the opportunity to create a new and unique visual language✨?. I feel influenced by my environment and music as well. Málaga has been a deep reference in these two elements. Málaga is deeply traditional and “costumbrista”, but also is young and it's painted with lots of different cultural tones. These two opposed concepts coexists creating a unique and beautiful place full of life and emergent culture. These attributes combined with the good weather were well noticed by the English people, who didn’t just bring an international tone to our exotic landscape, but also a sophisticated taste and deep knowledge of electronic music culture⚡?. For me, as a graphic designer, this context gave me the opportunity to take part of this culture creating colorful flyers for some of the most contemporary British electronic music gigs in Málaga, also well known as illegal raves??. I would say this is how I started in the design world. Since then until now, I’ve been doing a more conscious work, trying to offer different points of view and visual experimentation between both the physical and the digital worlds. Breaking the rules but always trying to keep it simple.
